Julia and Steve have been waiting for this day for years and I could not wait to be their Peoria wedding photographer!
The Bride & Groom
I was extra excited about this day because Julia is my best friend Heidi’s sister, who was my maid of honor 8 years ago 🙂 A year after that, Julia and I were both in Heidi’s wedding (which Bobby and I also filmed), and a few years later Heidi photographed my brother Gentry’s wedding … and this time Bobby and I were honored to capture the photo and video for Julia and Steve’s wedding!

In the morning, we joined Julia and her bridesmaids as the prepared for the day in a lovely bridal suite. Heidi, her maid of honor, arranged some beautiful flowers which added such a gorgeous accent to the room! After they finished their hair and makeup, the bridesmaids practiced their surprise dance for the reception. From there we joined Steve as he got ready for the day. And lastly, Julia got dressed in her jaw dropping gown!
Next, we went down to the riverfront and Julia and Steve had such a beautiful first look where their love overflowed! After some photos, the two of them went on a walk alone, just to soak up the moments and the reality of their day.
And have I even mentioned how PERFECT the weather was, especially for an early April day in the midwest?! It was incredible. At sunset, Bobby and I followed Julia and Steve to a magical abandoned barn for the most dreamy golden hour photos. This is what a Peoria wedding photographer dreams of.
And from there, friends and family headed down to the Peoria Contemporary Art Center which was such a fun place for dancing, drinks and charcuterie boards! We are SO thankful for these two amazing people and thrilled for them as they start their marriage!
