This Santa Barbara Historical Museum wedding was such a perfect day, and we SO loved getting to celebrate it with Lauren and Josh. It hit some of our favorite spots across Santa Barbara, and we always know that any Santa Barbara Historical Museum wedding is going to be great, as we think it’s one of the best Santa Barbara wedding venues!
The Bride and Groom
Being that this was a destination wedding for us, we didn’t get to meet Lauren and Josh until the big day, but we instantly knew how much fun the day would be! These two are awesome people and even more perfect together. They are thoughtful and fun, and their day was a perfect reflection of them!
The Venue – Santa Barbara Historical Museum, Santa Barbara, California
As we mentioned above, we consider this one of our favorite spots for a Santa Barbara wedding. It is tucked away in the downtown area and gives off that perfect Santa Barbara feel with is beautiful architecture and gorgeous landscaping. Both the ceremony and reception locations are surrounded by historical buildings and everywhere you look is just stunning!
The Wedding – Santa Barbara Historical Museum Wedding
The day began at the Fess Parker Doubletree Resort just a short distance away, and right across from the ocean! Lauren and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting their hair and makeup done while Josh and his groomsmen were in another room down the way. As their first look approached, Lauren was helped into her dress by her mom, while Josh got his tux on, and then they both made their way to their first look location. We always love first looks and this one was special as always. Lauren and Josh spent a minute holding hands before seeing each other for the first time that day, which was extra special.
After the first look, the whole wedding party loaded up on the Santa Barbara Trolley and left for the Santa Barbara courthouse for pictures. Following that, everyone made their way to the Santa Barbara Historical Museum to watch Lauren and Josh officially tie the knot!
We snuck away with Lauren and Josh for photos while guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, and then it was back to the Santa Barbara Historical Museum, and into the courtyard area for their amazing reception! There were some amazing dances (including a packed dance floor), some awesome toasts, and lots of love and laughter as everyone celebrated Lauren and Josh!
We were so happy that we got to be a part of this Santa Barbara Historical Museum wedding and loved getting to capture the love that Lauren and Josh share!
